Why Nottingham?
The video gaming scene for people to access and be part of across Nottingham has sadly declined with the closure of video game cafes / museums and events and marketing not returning so we thought we would change that.
Having been part of the Nottingham Video Gaming scene from the likes of GameCity to Alt-Gaming Lounge even further beyond that with Combat Strike internet cafe which was in the Corner House complex, we have always wanted to bring video gaming back to Nottingham and we've decided the time is now to do it.
Why the The Crowne Plaza (Central Nottingham)
Our last event took place on the outskirts of Nottingham in a venue that just didn't feel like a NottsVGE event should. So we have made the investment and leap to bring NottsVGE back to the centre of Nottingham. The venue offers a great range of space and rooms, rooms that can be specifically geared towards the games exhibitions, space for arcade cabs, stage area and vendors space! It fits the bill and we believe with the great transport links in the centre of Nottingham, it made so much sense to us!
How do I get to the entrance of the NottsVGE?
This year's Nottingham Video Games Expo is located at The Crowne Plaza, when you arrive make your way to the main entrance, straight ahead past the reception area you'll see the entry point to the Royal Suite. This is where you'll be greeted by our staff and tickets will need to be scanned or purchased.
The main entrance to the hotel is via Wollaton Street. You can also enter the venue from the parking structure, at the bottom of the stairs/lift area you'll see the entrance to the hotel itself, from here you'll be at the bar area and seating. Make your way down the stairs or via the lifts to the ground floor.
